PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Villages of Brockport and Lima’s Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) contract for electricity supply expired at the end of August 2023. Upon expiration of the CCA contract, participating residents were automatically returned to National Grid for their electricity supply. The community solar offering is unaffected and customers will continue to receive solar credits on their utility bills. Read more here
What is Finger Lakes Community Choice?
Finger Lakes Community Choice is a community choice aggregation program—comprising communities in Western New York—that enables participants to save money on electricity by pooling local electricity demand in order to leverage the collective buying power of their residents and small businesses in effort to secure more favorable terms on their electricity supply and community solar contracts, protect consumers, and support renewable generation sources. The program has two components: community choice electricity supply and a first-of-kind community choice solar offering.
The participating communities with active contracts through the program include the Town of Geneva, and Villages of Brockport, and Lima. The prospective communities with no active contracts through the program include the City of Geneva, and the Village of Honeoye Falls.
Community Solar
The groundbreaking community choice solar offering launched in Fall 2021 in Brockport and Lima represents an important milestone towards achieving the NY State Climate Action Plan mandate to reach 70% renewables by 2030.
Finger Lakes Community Choice was formed in partnership with Joule Community Power, a division of Joule Assets, Inc.

This form is for residents and small businesses who want to sign-up (opt-in), leave (opt-out) or change (opt-up or opt-down) their participation in the CCA program offerings.
