Finger Lakes Community Choice is a combined effort among the participating communities, program administrator, local organizer, electricity suppliers, and solar farm owners.

 

 

Partnering Communities 

Communities in New York’s Finger Lakes region have partnered with Joule Community Power, a division of Joule Assets, Inc. to establish Finger Lakes Community Choice in order to provide residents with access to renewable electricity supply at competitive rates and community solar.

Participating Communities

The participating communities include the Town of Geneva, and Villages of Brockport, and Lima.

Prospective or Previously Active Communities

The prospective communities include the City of Geneva, and the Village of Honeoye Falls.

Its portfolio includes: 240 megawatts in operation and development across 70 projects in five states that serve more than 6,000 community solar subscribers.

 
 

Delaware River Solar

Delaware River Solar (DRS) is a solar company that develops, constructs, and manages community solar farms throughout Upstate New York. Since 2016 DRS has developed over 50 operating community solar farms in the NYSEG, RGE, National Grid, Orange & Rockland, and Central Hudson service territories. Currently DRS manages 44 solar farms, serving 20,000 residential, business, and municipal electric customers in New York State.
